SL Feldman & Associates
Help spread risk awareness in advance of stroke month in June. Please watch the video above about an irregular heartbeat condition called Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib). A-Fib triples stroke risk.
If you’re a music fan, this fun video delivers a serious message with the help of Jeremy Taggart (@Taggart7) from Our Lady Peace acting as a real-life heart monitor.
We’re trying to get the word out to point Canadians to A-Fib resources by stressing the importance to get their pulse checked - a message that should be shared with parents, grandparents and other loved ones. Many Canadians are living with A-Fib and don’t know it. And after age 60, one-third of all strokes are caused by A-Fib.
We hope you’ll help us by sharing this video with your readers, so that more Canadians can be pulse aware. (That’s also our hashtag #bepulseaware)
We also invite you to explore the other resources available on the Be Pulse Aware page, including unscripted videos of people who share their personal experience of living with A-Fib.
Also, here are all the relevant links and hashtags for both the French and English videos.

2012 has been a whirlwind for Simple Plan as the band is celebrating many milestones past and present! France hosted the NRJ Awards in January, where Simple Plan and Marie-Mai took the award for Groupe/Duo Francophone De L’Annee for “Jet Lag”! In February the band teamed with Sherwood Hockey to produce a signature hockey stick for the Simple Plan Foundation, followed with the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut release “No Pads No Helmets Just Balls” in mid-March.
By far, the most exciting moment for the band this year has been the Juno Awards where they were named the 2012 recipients of the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award for their ongoing dedication to helping youth through the Simple Plan Foundation.
Prior to the Juno Awards broadcast, the band was also presented with plaques celebrating one million units sold in Canada!
The “Get Your Heart On!” tour has led Simple Plan through SE Asia, Japan, Canada, Spain, Germany and France already this year. Currently, the band is in Europe for the second leg of their tour and will be in Australia in early June.
